more info for sunpci II users

using 3rd part chips invalidates sun's warranty but sun's warranty on the pci II is negligible.

upgrading memory from sun is atrocious ($$$) but hitechvendors.com and others have memory that works fine - I just installed 2 of the following:

256MB PC133 133MHZ 16X16 8 Chip 144-Pin SODIMM

I had run into the same thing...But it wasn't an error! it came up as a page reference when I right clicked on my "back" button in Firefox while browsing the IMDB message boards. Upon revisiting that page though, there was nothing wrong with it. Upon flushing my cache, the anomaly couldn't be repeated.
Pretty weird.

Hernia.

Oh, yeah. Been there. Done that.

It heals pretty well. Scar fades fairly quickly, too. But expect it to twinge at the oddest times.

Congrats on the weight, man!

People leaving sucks. It's part of any industry these days, not just IT. The days of life-long employees are over.

[...] as I mentioned yesterday I headed up to my cabin on Big Boy Lake for the thanksgiving holiday. The property contains the old 2 room (no, not two bedrooms, two rooms) plus one bath building that was built by my grandfather back in 1969 or so (the building on the left) In addition to the cabin is a house that was built around 1992, which is the building on the right. No, I'm not joking. Check out some of our Middle Eastern Allies. It's still done.

I am getting stuck on step 2. I get the same results after step 1 as Dan (first post above). But after I download the 113616-06 patch when I attempt to install it seems to do nothing:
Validating patches...

Loading patches installed on the system...

Done!

Loading patches requested to install.

Version of package SUNWspci2 from patch 113616-06 differs from the package installed on the system.
Done!

The following requested patches do not update any packages installed on the system
No any packages from patch 113616-06 are installed on the system.

No patches to check dependency.

Any ideas on what I'm doing incorrectly?

That's awesome. As a person who constantly struggles with weight myself, all I can say is "Great job!"

Good going, dude.
